Attention, Atlantic City visitors:

Opportunity knocks this weekend, via deals and the bridge to future comps at the World’s Playground. With spending levels forging comp tiers, good deals that create future perks is a great way to go.

Want to enhance your comp status in style? Here’s a March 7-9 weekend tipsheet for Comped readers.

Smokey Robinson at Hard Rock for $79

It rarely pays to wait for concert tickets, but this time it does.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Smokey Robinson headlines the Etess Arena Saturday inside Hard Rock Casino for discounted prices. Showtime is 8 p.m.

The Hard Rock website shows availability for $79 seats and Stub Hub revealed prices at $89, both for excellent seats in the lower sections. These totals are about 40% lower than one week ago and are some of the best ever seen inside this venue.

(One ticket in the top row for Andrea Bocelli here in 2022 cost $418.50. A ticket similar to the $79 seats for Robinson was nearly $1,250.)

Of course, customers do have to check that the seats remain available and deal with considerable upcharges for handling in some cases.

The Etess Arena is one of the top venues in Atlantic City. There is not a bad seat in the house.

Robinson, of course, is iconic.

Pick your era of appreciation, whether that’s “Being With You,” “Cruisin,” “One Heartbeat at a Time,” or “Tracks of My Tears.”  Robinson continues gracing the Atlantic City stages he’s performed on since the birth of casinos in the late 1970s.

Plan ahead with cheap March Madness hotel rates

Weekend prices for casinos are high, even for the off-season.

Yet some good values remain in midweek and can be timed with an iconic event.

March Madness conveys several opportunities for Atlantic City casino customers.

First, casinos offer several incentives throughout the college postseason tournament, which begins March 18.

Second, there are still some midweek hotel deals for gamblers with flexible plans. Early this past week, Harrah’s revealed rates of $64 on March 18, $69 on March 19. Resort fees and taxes pushed the two-day total to $229.80 on a standard room for two adults. These rates are a fraction of the weekend prices, which will explode even more as the summer season approaches.

Feel like a two-day getaway to watch the frenzied beginning of the college postseason? Check around. Prices fluctuate quickly and inexpensive rates may be gobbled up fast. But being a rewards member at a given casino will help shave the rate.

If you are flexible, and creative, a nice experience can be carved out economically.

Celebrating St. Patrick’s day a little early this year

The historic Atlantic City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade occurs Saturday on the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk starting around 1 p.m.

The parade is rain, shine, or snow. Unless the weather affects the safety of the parade goers, it’s on.

The parade route starts around 500 Boardwalk near Ocean Casino and ends at Albany Ave next to Stockton University.

Nearby properties will seek to lure foot traffic in from the Boardwalk.

One of them is Resorts Casino Hotel.
