March Madness is taking hold at Resorts Casino Hotel and the DraftKings Sportsbook at the Atlantic City property.
Now through the first two rounds of the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament on March 24, Resorts is offering casino patrons the chance to win up to $1,000 in slot cash by guessing how many basketballs are in a bin.
The 10 Resorts guests that estimate closest, without going over, will win $500 in slot cash. Plus, anyone who guesses the exact number will win double the prize: $1,000 in slot cash.
Guests are invited to make one guess per day at any Resorts Star Card kiosk on the property, from now until 6 p.m. local time on March 24. The names of the winners will be revealed at 6:15 p.m. on March 24.
The winners must claim the prize by midnight on March 24 at Resorts’ Promotions Booth located next to Dunkin’ Donuts.
DraftKings Sportsbook Stein Hoisting Competition
Things get even crazier on Saturday, March 9 with DraftKings Sportsbook at Resorts hosting a Stein Hoisting Competition.
The event will see patrons hold up a traditional German stein mug filled with Fat Tire Amber Ale as long as they can for a chance to win various prizes.
The competition begins at 3 p.m. and turns over every hour until 7 p.m. It is free to enter and open to anyone with a Resorts Star Card.
Resorts’ Basketball Championship Challenge
The guessing games continue on March 17, right after the NCAA announces the field for 2019 March Madness. This year, Resorts’ Basketball Championship Challenge is offering the chance to win up to $1 million during the NCAA tournament.
The Basketball Championship Challenge asks players to fill out a traditional NCAA bracket sheet online. Potential players can pick up a unique bracket code at the Promotions Booth beginning March 9. Then, head online after March 17 to make bracket selections ahead of 12 p.m. on March 21 when the NCAA tournament tips off.
If your bracket includes every team that makes it into the Sweet 16 this year, Resorts will hand you a $250 food & beverage credit at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Should you have all the teams in the Elite Eight on your sheet, you’ll get a $500 food & beverage credit at DraftKings Sportsbook. Plus, correctly select the teams that make it all the way to the Final Four and Resorts will give you a $1,000 food & beverage credit at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Finally, put together a perfect bracket and you’ll walk away with a $1 million cash grand prize. Of course, that means picking the winner of every NCAA tournament game correctly. According to the NCAA, the odds of correctly picking every tournament game is 1 in 9.2 quintillion. It’s never been done. Good luck out there.
